Archive for April, 2011

No new tracks recorded or written (but at least, one sketched out yesterday in bed). Still, progress was made: there will be further guest artists on the #secretalbum!

Today’s Accomplishment: start of “Aeneis”

Take some very – very – old influences for lyrics, and combine them with Eighties rock music anger: the result is entitled “Aeneis” and is about to be finished. Well not exactly finished – but I managed to record the introduction, sketch out the first section, and compose about all of the song – lyrics still an open topic.

New track: “Shalom Sister” – bringing together tatooed cats, tech POCs and the history of sampling

Again harvesting through old Cubase projects, recording trombone, and learning how to program drums. Including a revisit of the drum tracks from the #twitterchords track “A Tätowierte Katz’”, and a nod to possibly the most important drum break ever.

A productive day: Sachsenbohne first mix, Orgeldings new mix

A first mix of Sachsenbohne took place, and Orgeldings is sounding way better with a new virtual organ!

New Track: Sachsenbohne

Another track got recorded which I had composed yesterday evening – working title: “Sachsenbohne”.

The “Orgeldings” brings atonal counterpoint – performed on a (virtual) church organ

“Twenty Twenty” – a whole bunch of tracks

Look what I found on my harddisk: a concept suite of 20 pieces à 20 seconds – a perfect fit for the #secretalbum!

Another old new track: “Sunshine Biscuit”, featuring Krispen Hartung

Recycling old material: this one’s from my y2k6loopfest headlining appearance

Two further tracks – recycled sketches from my personal archives.

“Klingelton” revisited

The second track to be recorded – actually, an old sketch, just done in better quality…
