Milestones continue to fall into place. Anna and I went into tour-de-force mode to complete the design concept and the design artifacts for the digital release, completing that by Wednesday.
Which allowed me to put together the digital album in Bandcamp:
That now makes the actual album release a zero-risk-item. Nice! Looking forward to the big day already.
I used the time to put together the pages on this website to document the release. Which included providing links to the individual contributors. And I knew that already, but: I consider myself truly lucky that this heavyweight group of talents had agreed to provide their services for MAX.
Now this might be just another day at the office for you, but working with folks who did masters for Keith Jarret or Pat Metheny or Simon Rattle, who recorded Marcus Miller and Ariana Grande, who played in the steady bands of Paul Bley and Manyard Ferguson (to just name a few examples) is something I’d consider „impressive“ if someone else had told me they did that.
But I digress.
There’s still details about the vinyl product to be sorted out (like types of paper that I had never heard of before), but we’re realistically continue to aim for an April 15th release date.
