This „Day Eight“ (in the way we count that creative retreat) was nothing short of mindblowing. Things got done, problems turned into opportunities, and great fun was had by all members of the set of one. But let me explain…
How Accidentally Today Worked
I completed what had the working title „MaxTec Ludwig“ today, after spending much of yesterday working on it at considerable velocity. It was the second — and last unfinished — track for the upcoming minmax album.

And with that, minmax has reached MVP state. The release date? December 6th, as you may remember.
The Windsurfing Non-Event
That tunnel vision on minmax I had since yesterday had an impact on the little scheduling there is in these parts: I asked for my surfing lesson to be rescheduled literally last-minute, and it now happens on Saturday, rather than getting in the way of creativity. Which is just as fine, as the wind wasn’t exactly playing along today anyway.

Meanwhile: Fuerteventura
And aside from that? The high-tide swim in the Atlantic was beautiful. The food was nice — again. I met a few of my feline friends again. The staff continues to be amazing. Life is strange, in a very good way.

Janus at Halftime
Technically, we’re roughly at halftime, so like the metaphorical Janus, I can look back and look forward at the same time.
The past week? There’s that programme management/MVP side, which says „nice“, and there’s the „it’s a vacation, too“ side, which says „nice“.
So what am I looking forward to? Another great week. The experiment has already splendidly demonstrated its validity. There is, quite literally, nothing left that I need to accomplish here.
Unless you’re a schmendrik doing the price-performance calculation, this seems like an excellent result.
